Hearing Aid Styles & Technology

In The Ear (ITE)

ITE hearing instruments are custom-made hearing aids made to fit within the external ear. Their size allows them to be easily handled.

In The Canal (ITC)

ITC hearing instruments are custom-designed and small enough to fit almost entirely in your ear canal. They are hardly noticeable.

Completely In The Canal (CIC)

CIC hearing instruments are the smallest custom-designed hearing instrument available today. They fit deeply inside your ear canal and are practically invisible.

Behind The Ear (BTE)

BTE/Open Fit hearing aids fit comfortably behind the ear and are attached to either an open dome or custom earmold that directs sound from the instrument into the ear. BTE models are versatile and can fit a variety of hearing losses.

Receiver In The Canal

Receiver-in-the-Canal hearing aids uniquely place the receiver in the ear canal offering comfort and optimum placement. They are invisible when worn.
