“Careful and considerate”
Bill realized something was amiss with his hearing while at work.
He recalls, “I was in department meetings with several new colleagues who had high, quiet voices, and I realized that I would just zone out rather than repeatedly ask them to repeat what they said. I felt that wasn’t fair to them or to me and that I needed to get help with my hearing so I could better participate.”
During his appointment at Woodard Hearing Centers, Bill says the team was “careful and considerate” as well as “reassuring.” Following his comprehensive hearing assessment, hearing aids were prescribed.
“Wearing my hearing aids has definitely improved my ability to participate in conversations generally,” shares Bill. “If I don’t have them on, I find myself asking my wife to repeat what she said (like it was back in the old pre-hearing aid days).”

Robert can’t pinpoint the exact moment he realized he had a hearing loss, saying, “It was a gradual loss.”
When he decided to get his hearing checked, Robert made an appointment with Woodard Hearing Centers. He says the team was “thorough, caring, and pleasant” throughout his appointment.
Following a conversation about his hearing challenges and a few hearing tests, hearing aids were prescribed based on his unique needs.

Bob has lived with a hearing loss since an early age. “I was too young to know or understand that I was having trouble with my hearing,” he says.
Having gone to various hearing care providers since childhood, Robert came to Woodard Hearing Centers as a seasoned hearing aid wearer.

Raymond shares that his hearing loss became apparent “a long time ago.”
He says that “listening to people was the biggest problem,” and he was worried about “missing out on many things that I couldn’t understand.”

Charles says he first noticed a change in his hearing “20 years ago.”
Prior to visiting Woodard Hearing Centers, he was concerned about what “my best hearing solutions” were. Charles recalls having a “good” appointment as he began his journey to better hearing. He adds that the team is “very accommodating.”

Joe has depended on Woodard Hearing Centers for more than 20 years.
Sharing his story, he says, “I was 50 years old and working in an office environment. While talking to a coworker, they picked up a phone call that I never heard ringing. I thought, ‘Wow! What’s going on?’”
Prior to visiting Woodard Hearing Centers, Joe felt a bit apprehensive. “I thought hearing aids were for older people,” he recalls. “I talked to a doctor and not just an audiologist and thought that was cool,” he says, referring to his initial appointment.
As for his hearing aids, Joe says, “I can’t function without them. Phone call streaming and TV streaming that evolved from when I first started wearing them in 2000 are truly game changers for hearing and understanding.”

Jon recalls that he was “having difficulty hearing conversations.” He decided to make an appointment with Woodard Hearing Centers despite his worries about the “cost of hearing aids” after knowing one of the audiologists through a work-related connection.
His comprehensive hearing assessment resulted in a prescription for hearing aids. “I can better hear conversations, the TV, etc.,” says Jon. He especially likes how Woodard’s “audiologists follow up on a regular basis for adjusting my hearing aids and retesting my hearing.”

Joel turned to Woodard Hearing Centers for some much-needed relief from his tinnitus.

He says, “My biggest problem is with tinnitus. The ringing is bad. So, my hearing devices have helped in that area of my hearing.”

When Linda found herself missing too many words, she knew she needed to get help.
“I couldn’t hear conversations or the TV,” she recalls.
So, she made an appointment with Woodard Hearing Centers to get her hearing back on track. “They wanted to help and get to the problem of what I could hear and what I couldn’t,” says Linda. She says she likes “how friendly and helpful they were” and adds that she felt “totally at ease when I was there.”
